Biographical Sketch

Picture of Becky ArcherBecky Archer received a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology (Cognitive Neuroscience focus) with a minor in linguistics from Washington University in Saint Louis, MO, in 2008. She joined the CRRG in 2008 as a research technician and is responsible for conducting imaging experiments and performing statistical analyses of imaging data. In addition, Becky develops and maintains the CRRG Website.

Becky is working with Drs. Desirée White and Robert McKinstry on a longitudinal study to test the hypothesis that children with the congenital metabolic disorder phenylketonuria (PKU) exhibit impairments in aspects of executive ability that facilitate learning and memory and are mediated by the prefrontal cortex. Becky is also working with Dr. Lisa Connor on the imaging of aphasia treatment study in the CRRG and the clinical significance of using the Aesop's fable tasks as a means of rehabilitation for people with aphasia. For these studies, she performs MRI scans on the subjects and analyzes the data.
